General terms and conditions (GTC) of the assessment platform of the project "Assessment of profession-related language competences for teachers of foreign languages"

  1. Scope

    The following GTC concern the use of the web-based assessment platform of the project "Assessment of profession-related language competences for teachers of foreign languages". The use of this service presupposes users' complete and unconditional agreement with the GTC.

  2. Services of the project group "Profession-related language competence profiles"

    • The project group provides a login after checking user authorization.
    • The project group maintains the website and secures its availability according to number 4.

  3. User responsibilities

    The user agrees to keep their personal login information confidential and not to pass on any login information to a third party. The user is responsible for protecting the provided login information. The project group refuses any liability for damages caused by the misuse or loss of the provided login information.

  4. Availability of the service

    The web-based assessment platform is generally available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. The project group reserves the rights to temporarily restrict or suspend this service for technical reasons.

  5. Technical equipment

    The user is responsible for ensuring that their hardware and software are suitable for the use of the assessment platform. The project group refuses any liability for damages that occur to the user through the use of the web-based assessment platform.

  6. Copyright

    • The project group provides registered users with a web-based assessment platform for self-assessment and external assessment.
    • If the project group places text material in a publicly accessible area, it is obliged to obtain the consent from the author.
    • Copyright noticed must be retained and reproduced.
    • The content on the platform may only be used by the user for training and educational purposes. The use of this data for commercial purposes or any other and misuse is strictly forbidden.

  7. Privacy

    The project group complies with the regulations of the Federal Act on Data Protection.

    The user agrees that their personal data provided when registering will be stored. This data may be used for research purposes. The project group respects the personal rights of its users. No data used to identify you is stored. The submission of personal information is optional. The data will be anonymised and not passed on to third parties.

  8. Disclaimer

  9. User liability

    Users are held liable for damages caused by a non-contractual use of login data (username, password).

  10. Amendments / additions to the GTC

  11. Arbitration

    In case of dispute arising from the GTC, the parties agree to an amicable settlement before a court case is considered.

  12. Applicable law
